HOW TO BECOME A RIDER

WITH RDA BRIGADOON

If you are interested in your family member or client becoming a rider at RDA Brigadoon, the process is easy.

  • Once everything is checked, our admin officer will organise a mutually agreed time for a ''free'' assessment with one of our coaches.  During this meeting they will enjoy a tour of our Centre and have an assessment to see if participation in our program will be beneficial to them. This assessment is purely a 'get to know you/question & answer session' and does not involve any horse riding. From this meeting, our coach will be able to ascertain if we have a position available for the client.

  • Once you are advised that a position is available, you will be requested to complete (click to download) our entry level paperwork.  This includes:

  1. The Annual Participant Registration Form

  2. Client Goal Setting Form.

  3. Participant Medical Assessment (Note:  this must be completed by General Practitioner or Medical Specialist.

  • On return of all of these forms an invoice will be sent to you for the Rider Registration Fee.  This invoice of $140 per year or $40 per term (2024 fees) must be paid prior to the first lesson. Unfortunately, the Rider Registration Insurance fee is not covered by NDIS.
